Pronounced “Vision One One One,” the name comes from the Bible’s first book, chapter, and verse. Genesis 1:1 states that “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth…” Although we speak of people "creating" things all the time, in the strictest sense, we cannot create as God creates. The Latin term: creatio ex nihilo, meaning “creation out of nothing,” has long been used to describe this divine action. When we “make” something, we use existing “stuff” to make other “stuff.” These material components come in countless forms, combinations, and variations. Paint on canvas, two by fours joined by nails, a statue sculpted from clay, sermons constructed from Biblical truth and spoken words, a piece of music from the manipulation of sound waves combined with emotion and rhythm, avocados in guacamole or even the arrangement of one’s and zero’s in a piece of digital art, are all manifestations of our God-given creativity. But all of these, no matter how intangible the components may seem to be (including abilities like thought or imagination), originate from God. We simply cannot create as God creates. However, we can be, and even feel the need to be “creative.” Perhaps the creative drive is present in humans because we are, after all, created in God’s image. The products that Vision 111 produces such as images of beautiful places; combinations of color, light, geometry, and textures expressed in abstracts; illustrational materials for better conveying a message; or sometimes just something funny to make us laugh; and such are all ultimately traceable to God, the Creator, and offered for His service and the benefit of others in churches and various ministries. Therefore:
